Well, Tommy boy just can not keep his mouth shut can he?
DeLay addressed the association with the following statements:
"When a man is in trouble or in a good fight, you want to have your friends around, preferably armed. So I feel really good."
What the F*CK?!
It sounds like the man is insuating some "final showdown" where he and his friends will have an, "old west" style shoot-out with his accusers!!
You would think that he would be smart enough to just shut up but you'd be assuming too much apparently.
Even Newt Gingrich had concerns about Tom DeLay ethics:
"I don’t want to prejudge him and my hope is that Tom will be able to prove his case," said Gingrich, who engineered the Republican takeover of the House in 1994. "But I think the burden is on him to prove it at this point." Is he doing that? "I don’t know yet. I think the jury's out," said Gingrich.
"In an exclusive interview with CBS News Correspondent Gloria Borger, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said it's time for DeLay to stop blaming a left-wing conspiracy for his ethics controversy and to lay out his case for the American people to judge. "
"DeLay's problem isn’t with the Democrats; DeLay's problem is with the country," Gingrich continued. "And so DeLay has a challenge: to lay out a case that the country comes to believe, that the country decides is legitimate. If he does that he's fine."
**GOI Comment: Newt Gingrich faced his own ethics violations when he was speaker of the House and so to have even him making these comments is really something. Its like Gingrich is saying "Whoa, damn!! Now that guy is corrupt!!!" You know you're in trouble when even fellow scandalous allumni won't defend you.
Fellow conservative (R) Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado has had critical comments about DeLay as well:
Rep. Tom Tancredo says it is "probably not the worst idea" for embattled House Majority Leader Tom DeLay to step down while he deals with ethics allegations.
**GOI Comment:
See, DeLay even other people named "Tom" won't come to your defense.
I'm out.

I wish something would come of the story about him accepting money from Russian agents for a vote against going to war against Milosevic. Back in the day, they called it treason. Today, it's called being a Republican.
speaking of Tom Delay, have you seen http://houseofscandal.org/
Not only does that quote freak me out (guns in general scare me) but I don't understand how He's managed to not only stay the Speaker, but a US representative as well. I mean how far does he have to go before he's deemed unelectable? In fact, I just realized I'm less scared of Delay, and more scared of his constituents now.
Jin,
Yeah, I've checked that website out. Pretty amazing. He has such quite the web of lies and corruption.
